Fistral Accounting is a small boutique accounting firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Cornwall.
We focus on quality of service and provide extra attention on legitimate tax planning and tax saving opportunities, which is inherent to what we do and is provided automatically with our services. We recognise that each client has their own individual needs and we tailor our approach to meet these specific needs. Whilst we are based in Cornwall we have a client base that spreads across the UK.
We hold Chartered status and are a Member Firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Anyone can operate as an accountant or tax adviser without formal qualifications. Choosing a Chartered Accountant can provide you with assurance that the person dealing with your affairs has undergone extensive training, including rigorous exams, years of practical training and continued professional development. Owner and founder of Fistral Accounting
After studying Mathematics and Business at A Level I then went on to study Accounting and Finance at University, qualifying in 2009 with a First Class Honours degree. After completing my degree, I worked for a large and reputable firm of accountants in the South West, within their Corporate Department. During my 10 years at the firm I progressed from a trainee to a senior manager position, gaining my Chartered status and audit qualification. I studied for the ACA qualification at Reed Business School, gaining Chartered status in 2013.
In 2018 I stepped off the corporate ladder and worked for a small local accounting firm in Newquay, where I undertook a role more focused on small family-run businesses. As the demand for my services grew, the time naturally came to set up my own practice, Fistral Accounting, where I could be in control of the ethos and quality of service I wanted to provide.
I have a hard working ethos and pride myself on my personable, prompt and reliable nature. Once I have a client onboard they rarely leave, which I feel is a testament to my level of service and care. I understand that accounting and taxation matters can be overwhelming to many business owners and I like to alleviate these worries as much as possible. I achieve this by being proactive in the services I offer, working closely with clients and providing them with the support they need through many aspects of their business. I ensure my clients are free from the stress of missing filing deadlines and free from the fear of paying more tax than necessary.
Fistral Accounting has redefined all financial aspects of our business. Sam has provided robust, professional and extremely helpful guidance and structure to our Director group enabling our business to grow, whilst simultaneously educating and developing our grasp on the fiscal aspects.
